Frequently Asked Questions

How much does it cost?

The price of the service will depend on a few factors. In general, the price depends on the size of the property, the frequency of the cleaning service and what type of clean is required. 

What is included in a Regular Clean?

1) Full kitchen clean (dishes washed, sink cleaned, counter tops and cabinet faces wiped + stove top cleaned and de-grimed)  

2) All surfaces are dusted and wiped  

3) All Floors are swept, mopped and/or vacuumed  

4) Bathroom clean (complete toilet clean, shower, handles, tub, drain, base of toilet)  

5) Bedroom (wipe shelving, nightstands, bed frames, and tidying up of bed)

What is included in a Deep Clean?

1) Everything included in a regular clean  

2) All window sills and baseboards cleaned  

3) Back splashes and faucet fixtures polished  

4) Light switches and door handles  

5) Detailed dusting  

6) Light organization of all rooms (for detailed organization, you must select an add-on)  

7) An extra overall hour included for high detail areas.

What is included in a Move-in/Out Clean?

1) Everything included in a deep clean  

2) Additional time on every area to return the home to its original state (or as close as possible)  

3) Four (4) pre-selected Add-on services included in the price (oven, walls, microwave, and inside cabinets)

How far in advance do I need to book?

We require a 2 day lead time for new bookings at this time. 

Will cleaning products and tools be provided as part of the service?

Yes.

What products or tools will the cleaner bring with them?

Vacuum, broom, mop, ecofriendly cleaning products (e.g. Blueland, Green Llama, Zogics are some examples), microfiber towels, and any other tools we find necessary to make your space really shine!

How long does each type of cleaning take?

Please select all required tasks, appropriate sq. footage and service type when booking. The system is programmed to inform our cleaners of how much time to spend per clean to restore your home's cleanliness.

How and when do I pay for the booking?

Payments are taken via credit or debit card if the online booking platform is used; if you are a recurring clean customer, we would take a payment or pre-authorized charge for the initial clean and all subsequent cleans are charged immediately after the appointment.

If you are a “cash/check” customer (not using card on file), you will receive an invoice via text or email. If payment is not received, any payment methods saved in your account may be charged 48 hours after the service concludes. 

Which Service Do You Recommend For First Time Clients?

A deep clean is recommended for all first time cleanings by EcoShine. It allows us extra time to get all the areas that have been missed during regular cleanings in the past. After the initial deep clean, most customers switch to a regular clean.

What happens if i need to cancel my booking? or reschedule it?

Cancellation Policy: If you cancel within 24 hours of the appointment, you will be charged the full cost of the service.   We recommend simply rescheduling to avoid penalties - For reschedules, you may reschedule at any point in time before the appointment.  Please note: If the reschedule is made within 24 hours of your appointment, your method of payment on file will be charged for the full amount of the service, to be applied to your rescheduled date/time.

What If I Want To Skip This Week’s Clean? Will I Still Be Charged?

The same cancellation/reschedule policy applies for recurring cleans. 

Do You Clean Any Outside Surfaces Of The Home?

No, we do not.

Will The Same Cleaner Come every time?

Although we will try to honor this upon request, sometimes it is not possible. To aid in smooth transitions of responsibility, we keep notes of specific nuances related to your property in our system.

Do I Have To Be Home When The Cleaners Arrive Or Depart?

No not at all, However, please make sure our cleaners are able to get inside the home at time of arrival. When booking on our form, you can make a note of any access requirements when booking as well as exit instructions (i.e. place key back under mat, go out through the back door, etc.)

Is EcoShine Licensed And Insured?

We are registered to operate in the State of Texas and are fully insured.

What If Something Breaks?

This seldomly occurs, but accidents do happen. Please contact our office immediately to work with our contractors’ insurance to get the object of value replaced.

What If I’m Not Satisfied With My Cleaning After They Leave?

If you are not happy with the service for any reason, please call us immediately for further instructions - this means the same day of the clean. A “return” clean appointment must be made within 2 business days of the original appointment.

Am I Charged Upon Booking?

Your card may be pre-authorized immediately for the service amount plus applicable taxes. The card will be charged immediately following the appointment.

How do I access my booking/information?

When booking over the phone we will send you an email with all of your booking info. You can also create or Login to your account on the website using the login information you created after booking your initial clean. If you do not have a login, click ‘Sign Up’ to create one.
